Converse Canvas Experiment: Creatively rebellious, culture-led brand activations

Objective: To establish Converse's rebellious reputation and authentic brand attitude through highly impactful activations — connecting deeply with skate, music, and creative communities.

Our relationship with Converse was a creative journey defined by fearless experimentation and cultural resonance. Over many years, we delivered a series of culture-led brand activations that not only elevated brand visibility but also cemented Converse’s status as an icon of creative rebellion.

Each activation became a powerful creative canvas, designed to engage and empower Converse’s core communities — skaters, musicians, and creators. From community spaces at Pitchfork Music Festival and experiential co-creation events at Bread & Butter during Berlin Fashion Week, to viral brand activations in malls across Europe, our approach consistently pushed boundaries and broke through the noise.

We anticipated and embraced the rise of the creator economy before it hit the mainstream, pioneering co-creation experiences that inspired participation and amplified authentic brand advocacy. Our brand activation designs weren't just about being seen — they were designed for engagement, turning audiences into active participants in the Converse 'Canvas Experiment' narrative.

Our culturally dialled-in approach earned global recognition, including prestigious awards from D&AD, Cannes Lions, and VMSD, validating the powerful cultural impact of our collaboration. Through our work, Converse didn't just follow cultural shifts — it shaped them, staying ahead of the curve through fearless, creative rebellion.

D&AD Winning: We created a fully-functional digital screen built out of 480 Chuck Taylors, each like a pixel, rotating 180-degree rotation to create dynamic animations.
