Play to Win at adidas Originals x BAPE Forum 84' arcade activation
Objective: Ignite BAPE x Originals Forum 84' launch at END. through an immersive, gamified retail activation.
Arcade nostalgia meets modern sneaker drop at our latest experiential retail marketing activation for END. Fusing adidas Originals roots in sports and sneaker culture, with BAPE’s deep connections with hip-hop and street culture – this highly creative duo called for an equally dynamic and creative sneaker drop activation.
Celebrating BAPE’s 30th anniversary, we helped launch the anniversary edition of their Forum 84’ sneaker, designed in collaboration with adidas Originals. With END. holding an exclusive colourway in the UK, we worked with them to amplify consumer hype, drive brand engagement and footfall in-store. Our creative strategy was to go old skool - in the best possible way. As adidas' first basketball shoe launched in the 1984, the same year as Tetris, we tapped into ‘retro futurism’ creating a gamified retail activation design - the Forum 84’ Legends Arcade. An experiential sneaker drop activation that offers so much more than an online sneaker raffle.
Loud, dynamic yet laid-back, our creative retail activation design took over END.’s Flagship store in SoHo. In-store the experiential retail marketing popup became a showcase for the brand whilst driving heightened product engagement with enticing calls-to-action in the retail window displays. Top the scoreboard to win prizes, anything from the anniversary edition Forum 84’ sneakers to A Bathing Ape key chains. It’s the taking part that counts though right… right?!
